Online Violence
Online Violence (or online abuse) can take many forms, including:
- Threats of violence: Direct and indirect threats of physical or sexual violence.
- Violations of privacy: Sharing private images without consent, or [[Doxxing]].
- Discrimination: Targeted content based on identity (sexist, racist, etc.).
- Online harassment: Sustained, coordinated attacks aimed at humiliation.
It occurs across social media, messaging apps, blogs, and comment sections. While experienced by all genders, women’s experiences often mirror offline discrimination and sexism.
