Character (Story Element)
A strong character, typically the protagonist, is the vessel for the audience’s experience. They must evoke empathy to ensure emotional investment.
Empathy is achieved by making the character:
- Likable
- Humorous
- Powerful
- Or by placing them in jeopardy
